The Animal Range – Godfrey Sports

Here at Junior Rowing News, we love our leggings. In all colours, shapes and sizes, leggings can make or break a crews all-important start-line appearance. Many clubs and athletes have sported a wide range of the garments, from the hideously garish to the easy-on-the-eye. However, Godfrey Sports may have just taken the leggings game to a new level with their animal range. Rolling out over the spring and summer of 2016, the leggings are produced using Godfrey’s tried and tested formula to create a supple, light and dynamic piece of kit.

Zebra Special Edition LeggingsZebra-Legging-big

These are fully sublimated for a design that really jumps out (or blends in, if you happen to be dodging lions in the savannah), and use our proven GS-Tek lycra which is a Poly/Lycra mix and is woven in Nottingham. The ability of the fibre and fabric to return to its original length, shape, or size immediately after the removal of stress allows for generous stretch to be given to the wearer’s freedom of movement. Polyester has extraordinary strength, excellent resiliency, high abrasion resistance, and resists shrinking, stretching and wrinkles. Polyester’s low absorbency allows the fibre to dry quickly, removing excess moisture on the skin.

These use a combination of our GS-Tek and high performance, hard-wearing GS-Evo fabric – a firm favourite on our AIOs – for a slightly more subtle design. While you still get the splash of eye-catching design, the GS-Evo fabric has superior stretch and wicking properties, along with also providing protection against UVA and UVB rays from exposure to sunlight, with a natural cottony feel which is ideal next to the skin – perfect for training.
