The British Rowing Indoor Championships is set to return this Saturday, after the event was cancelled last year due to limited entries.
Held at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre, the one-day event will see over 1,750 entries across 50 individual and team events, including openweight, lightweight, masters, junior, adaptive and Para divisions.
Entries have returned to 2019 levels after just 330 entries last year.
Alastair Marks, CEO of British Rowing, said: “We hope moving BRIC to a more central location in the UK will help make this event more accessible for everyone, allowing more people to either compete in or watch one of the world’s best-known in-person indoor rowing events alongside other exciting fitness competitions.”
The Championships will be part of FitFest 2023, an event of over 5,000 amateur athletes across disciplines like weightlifting and cross-fit.
The draw has now been released and can be found here.
British Rowing’s own Rob Cree, a Performance Talent Coach on the Paralympic Pathway, is set to take part, along with others including the Army Indoor Rowing Team.
In addition to a day of racing on Saturday, EXR App is offering a free virtual row session in Henley on Sunday.
