BUCS Regatta 2021 – Writers Wanted!

Calling all student rowers, rowing armchair pundits and those keen to have their opinions heard!

We are planning to expand our content to include BUCS Regatta – with full, JRN-style, coverage of all the top categories, athletes and narratives.

We’re looking for writers who know the circuit, have an opinion on the runners and riders in play and want to be part of an critically-acclaimed team. Ideally, you will already be part of a university boat club and play an active part in the student rowing community. No journalistic background required – we value enthusiasm and passion for the sport above all else.

This opportunity can lead to broader collaboration with JRN, with a view to becoming part of our writing team for the 2021/2022 season. Writers have gone on to help run large sporting events, commentate at the biggest rowing races in the country and have their work published by British Rowing. In addition, there is always scope to be a part of our renowned podcast, The End of the Island, led by NUBC President Fergus Mainland.

To express interest in joining our coverage team for BUCS Regatta 2021, please fill in the form below and a member of the editorial team will be in touch. If you have any questions about the process, please email us at juniorrowingwordpress@gmail.com
