These girls from Henley ripped apart their competition last year after winning all three of the major national regattas (JIRR, NSR and Nat Champs). These girls went unbeaten throughout the whole 2012/13 season in the WJ15 4x+ category picking up two course records at Nat Champs.
This year their quad came back at J16 level and picked up some very good results at Henley Sculls and Fullers Head of the River Fours. At Henley Sculls they won the WJ16 4x by 31 seconds and then came 3rd in the Junior Quads just behind the Marlow J17s. These girls do look to be as good as the previous Henley girls quad who took the Junior Women’s Quadruple Sculls title at Henley Royal back in 2012.
These girls have definitely set themselves up to be a crew to beat for the WJ16 Rowing and most of the WJ18s, it will be interesting to see how these girls do at Schools Head.
