St Paul’s have entered this season as the crew to beat as their eight recently took 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th at Pairs Head in the J18 2-. Half the crew then went on to win the Junior 4+ at Fullers Head of the River Fours. Later into December the 8 entered into Wallingford Head of the River in the IM1 8+ and came out in above all of the J18 crews by 20 seconds and coming second in the IM1 8+ to Oxford Brookes.
This crew is definitely on track to take the CH8+ title at Schools Head, if not Nat Schools (something which has never been done by a St. Paul’s crew). These boys are looking very fast at the moment and I will be incredibly surprised if they do not take the top spot at Schools Head this year.
