Hammersmith Head is perfect practice for School’s Head and the weather for this weekend is looking tricky – with high winds and a lot of rain crews should be prepared for a change in the wind across the corse and adjust their race plans.
Only two crews are entered for junior women quads, making it, in a way, all the more exciting. Putney High School have the home advantage this weekend so if they steer it right they could be showing a very competitive time. Kingston scratched from Hampton Head so it will be very interesting to see what times they are putting in as it is still early in the season. They’ve got a fair record in this category, so I’d expect a certain degree of quality from the Kingston crew.
I predict Putney High School to take the win over Kingston, but times for both crews will be valuable information for them in the run up to Schools Head !
