This has drawn and surprisingly few number of entries this year and the home clubs are well represented within the field with two Hampton 4-s and a Molesey 4- as well as entries from Latymer, Great Marlow and London Oratory
Hampton
With 2 fours entered there is a suggestion that they could be matched but with one carrying the prestigious title of HAM SENIOR 4-, I have an inclination that they will be the ones who will be the quickest out of the two Hampton 4-s. Hampton also have two J18 pairs racing and those pairs could be a top four with this comprising the rest of an eight. Either way expect both crews to be fast and potentially (unlikely but possible) managing a one, two.
Latymer
They were slightly uninspiring last year, but they had mixed their J16 and senior squads so could begin to shine this year. Latymer have had some solid results in the early season and with another four entered in coxed fours, this could be a top, bottom or matched. It would need to be something approaching a top four for them to be able to take the win here though.
Molesey
More local boys and again we have the same situation of the guess the ranking. 3 pairs are in J18 pairs but I think it is likely that this four could be made of boys possibly not trialing in the February trials. This would explain why Molesey have split the entries. Or conversely this could be a top four and the other pairs are below it, if it is a top four, expect it to be fast
London Oratory and Great Marlow given recent form are highly unlikely to make any impact upon the top end of the results in this category and will most likely contest for the wooden spoon.
