Radley College
Radley college has entered only one eight in this relatively large event. The Radley eight seemed to be rather dominant in the octuples last year as they won National Schools’ in their first and second octuples. But this is not sculling these are eights now so it will be interesting to see if the Radley crew are as dominant in the longer sweep events.
Shiplake College
Shiplake has also entered only one eight into this packed event. Whilst being second at National Schools’ in the octuples last year it will be interesting to see if the Shiplake eight can beat the Radley crew as they were only one second being at national school’s regatta.
Hampton School
Hampton School have entered two eights in this large event which are presumably the 1st and 2nd octuples from last year with maybe some slight changes. The Hampton School first octuple won the S final at National Schools’ Regatta last year so may be hunting down the victory at their own race. These two crews will have an advantage over the other crews as this is their home water so they will know a lot about it.
St Edward’s School
St Edward’s School have also entered two eights into this event. The crews could be the top two octuples from last year, but we are not certain. The two octuples from last season came 2nd and 4th in the b final at National Schools’ Regatta so, like Hampton school, they could be trying to get the victory.
