The Women’s Coxed Fours has only four entries for Head of the Trent. All four crews will therefore be aiming for the podium.
City of Bristol RC
City of Bristol’s four is the other half of the crew that won the Senior Women pennant at Head of the Trent and placed sixth at Henley Fours and Eights two weeks ago. It will be interesting to see how they perform in a smaller boat. Their recent performances indicate another impressive result.
Leeds University BC
Placing tenth at BUCS Head last weekend, Leeds University will aim to take confidence from this. This is a club that has had some promising novice crews in the past, and if they’ve been able to make the step up to ‘intermediate’ level then they’d be in a great position for a race such as this. In better conditions and on a smaller course, the crew should put in an improved performance.
Predictions
It looks to be between these two crews for the top spot this weekend, with Warwick and Leicester University having no recent results to go off. We predict Leeds to take victory, followed by City of Bristol and local club Leicester to place third.
