Exeter Rowing Club vs Enniskillen Royal Boat Club
Both go off the start well and rowed smooth. As Enniskillens steering starts to go off into the booms Exeter shoot off into a commanding lead. The efficiency and sublime technique of Exeter had them take the win and head into Fridays racing.
York City Rowing Club vs Lea Rowing Club
Lea and York get off to a nice and quick start with it being pretty level past temple island. As the race progresses, York rows into Leas dirty water and the distinctive orange of the Lea takes the lead by a significant margin and proceed to Fridays racing easily.
Hartpury College vs Wallingford Rowing Club
And we’re off the start and its bowball to bowball for all the first half of the race. After the first half Wallingford slowly start to edge out in front of Hartpury and them hoping to keep in contact. With Wallingford looking fairly sharp in their blacked out Fillipi, they slowly manage to get a boat length lead from Hartpury. Wallingford eventually win the race and progress to Friday with an half a boat length win.
Tideway Scullers School “B” vs Tideway Scullers School “A”
The battle of the Scullers of the Tideway is here. Both crews go off clean with B crew going off at a blistering rate to try and get an extra edge out of their teammates. But the amount of wattage and power being layed down in the A crew their fellow competitors of the B crew have not got enough strength to catch them. The Tideway Scullers School A crew go through to Fridays racing easily.
Windsor Boys School “A” vs George Watsons College
Windsor Boys School “A” vs George Watson’s College
Both crews get off to a flying start with Windsor coming straight off the blocks and simply destroying George Watsons. With George Watsons looking fairly sharp throughout the whole race, not a lot of crews can beat Mark Wilkinsons exquisite coaching style that can produce results. We seen this today.
Henley Rowing Club vs Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School
Henley racing on their own water having being literally bowball to bowball with borlase past temple island. With still being very very close past the barrier and past Fawley it is very hard to choose who would come out on top. Henley puts in a slight push which gets them half a boat length ahead from Borlase. This eventually increases to just over a boat length for Henley to take the win over Borlase.
Leander Club vs St Andrew Boat Club
We’re off the start and the slightly inexperienced crew of St Andrews goes slightly off track towards their opposition but manages to steer straight back onto their side. As the race progresses Leander slowly gets into a commanding and dominant lead. With their pink blades being at a parallel level past the enclosures, Leander win by a comfortable margin.
Windsor Boys School “B” vs Walton Rowing Club
Off the start and Both crews are looking fairly sharp and handling the Henley water well. Windsor have the slight edge past temple island. As it progresses Windsor extends their lead with extreme technique. Walton holds on well but it’s not enough to catch the impressive B crew from Windsor. Again it will be very interesting to see how far this B crew will go.
