This is your Friday briefing covering all the action in the student events at Henley Women’s Regatta. Here you’ll find a brief look at today’s racing, as well as predictions for tomorrow’s action.
Aspirational Academic Eights:
In our preview of this event, we picked UL as the top crew, and indeed they were one of the 16 crews that will progress to heats. Only three crews were eliminated today: Lady Margret Hall (B), the University of Exeter and the University of Warwick. These results are perhaps not suprising, and the ability to be one of the few centres to boat two Eights puts LMH in good stead for the rest of the week. Come Sunday, will UL reign supreme? We’ll have to wait and see…
Aspirational Academic Fours:
It’s a less exciting story for the fours, with all crews progressing to the later rounds. After a strong BUCS performance, we originally pitted Cambridge as the crew to beat – will they stand strong against Brookes and UL? I guess you’ll have to stay tuned to find out!
