Join the JRN team for 2022/23

Off the back of our most successful Henley Royal Regatta campaign ever (every single event previewed and a team of ten people working on-site throughout the week), we’d like to invite applications to join our team for the 2022/23 season.

JRN has grown from a junior rowing blog to a fully-fledged content platform, complete with podcast, digital marketing agency, columnist roster, commercial partners and a team of over 40 people. In 2022, we’ve already had over 300,000 visits to our website and over 10000 listens to our podcast; our team were on-site for Henley Royal Regatta, National Schools’ Regatta, BUCS Regatta, Henley Women’s Regatta, The Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race and many other key events in the racing calendar.

We’re seeking people who have a genuine passion for the sport and want the chance to develop alongside an ambitious group who want to give a voice to rowing. Previous experience in journalism is not required – there will be training before the start of the season – but an enthusiasm for creating compelling content definitely helps.

We offer the chance to cover a sport in unparalleled depth; the chance to be a critical part of a team that makes a genuine difference to the community it serves; the chance to work with leading brands and access opportunities to test and qualify equipment, kit and brand new software; the chance to work at some of the country’s most renowned rowing events; the chance to meet some of the sport’s biggest stars; the chance to bring a new perspective and a new pen to a website that has ten years of credibility and is read all around the world.

Staffed and led by experienced athletes and writers, we have a team that cover junior, student and senior rowing plus features/opinions and you have the opportunity to become a part of one of the largest and fastest-growing rowing content platforms in the world. We have numerous vacancies and can be flexible to fit your requirements.

Please complete the short form below and a member of our team will be in touch. Any questions, please reach out to us on email (juniorrowingnews@gmail.com) or via our social media feeds (Instagram & Twitter).
