Japanese sportswear manufacturer Mizuno, have been supplying the British Rowing Squads with high-performance clothing since 2017, alongside the Norwegian Rowing Federation.
Last month, the French Rowing Federation officially announced that they too will collaborate with Mizuno until 2024, meaning the kit will be used by the French National Team for the next two Olympic and Paralympic cycles (Tokyo 2021 and Paris 2024).
All the French squads – junior, senior and para – will wear the apparel in all international competitions, including European and World Championships, and Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Mizuno have been in the pursuit-of-perfection business for over 100 years, with this latest collaboration solidifying their heritage even further. It will allow some of the world’s best rowers to take their performance to the next level, with kit that has been tried and tested by two of the most well respected international rowing programmes.
Instantly recognisable, apparel adorned with the Runbird logo has helped athletes from all sports achieve their best since the company was founded, with recent innovations such as the WaveRider24 and All-in-one propelling rowing clothing technology into the 21st Century.
In particular, the All-in-one has been crucial in bringing rowing to the masses with the Power8 Sprints, the world’s first spectator-friendly rowing event.
The French Rowing Federation have been a powerful force on the rowing scene for some time, with this latest partnership giving them the chance to focus on the rowing, safe in the knowledge that Mizuno’s apparel will rise to whatever challenge is thrown its way.
