As this was such a requested preview here’s a small preview of the WJ15 1x for tomorrow. J15 events are always notoriously difficult to predict as there such little information on the crews at this stage in their junior careers. However I’ve scratched together just about enough to give me an idea. First up is Henley RC Gutteridge . These girls have been extremely dominant in this age group in all the larger boats, even winning the WJ16 8s at JIRR! I would bet that this is a very competent sculler who will be right at the front of the field. Unfortunately it appears there isn’t much information about her in particular but with the high standards at Henley at the moment, Id assume she’s had tough competition even getting the single spot. Next up York city S.Heldt. She may have only come third at JIRR in the single, but it appears the silver medallist and isn’t racing. Also the experience gained at such an event will count massively tomorrow. I’d pick her to get onto the podium for sure as she appears to be the only sculler who has previously gained major silverware this season. Next up St Neots Adamson. She has had a fairly good season; the indication of this is because her partner Taylor took first place at HSBH earlier on this year and I’ve been informed by head coach Andrew Taylor that Adamson is equally as fast so I’d expect her to be competitive. Definitely a contender for the likes of Henley and York City. That would conclude my preview I’m sorry if I have missed someone out but there isn’t a lot of information to work with on this event.
Good luck to all competitors!
