This event has had a boost of two more entries than last year, with two entries. Eton have entered both boats into this so a win is guaranteed. The Eton boys will be racing over a longer stretch of 6km. The course has rather daunting twists and turns which will be difficult to negate in these smaller, cox-less boats. This will thus make for some riveting racing, with maybe a crash or two.
Eton
Eton have not had the proper chance to flaunt their pedigree as of yet this season. This will therefore be a great moment to do so. The two fours are likely to be matched, making for an interesting race even if it is between the same school’s crew-mates. They missed out on the win in last year’s PE at Henley Royal, and therefore they’ll be determined to show St Pauls what the Etonians are made of. The two fours are likely to be composed of the top 8, since they are fielding two J16 8’s, who are racing in the same division.
I don’t think a prediction is really needed for this race. Eton to W.
