NSR 2016 – Update

Junior Rowing News has just received word, on good authority, that National Schools’ Regatta in 2016 will be held at Dorney Lake, Eton College’s training lake and the site of many regattas across the year.

The information is currently being circulated to coaches across Britain. This comes after speculation that NSR 2016 would be held in Strathclyde, Glasgow, after Dorney appeared to be booked up with a triathlon. No information has yet been released as to how the NSR organizing committee managed to overcome this booking.

Currently we are expecting a condensed event. This may mean that some events are cut from the regatta completely, or perhaps entries for certain events will be further limited.

We are now awaiting an official statement from the NSR organizing committee, presumably to be released after details are finalized with the venue.
