With nearly 70 quads racing at the scullery on Wednesday there will be some fierce competition for the medal spots amongst some of the best rowing clubs around. These young girls will be given a chance to show themselves and hopefully come away with an amazing result for themselves.
Surbiton High School
Surbiton time and time again are able to show huge strength and depth within their squads, this Wj15 quad is no different. I’m the Henley 4s and 8s head this quad placed 1st besting Henley crews on home turf so will definitely be a force to look out for next week.
Henley Rowing Club
Another junior rowing powerhouse, Henley rowing club will also be looking to provide a great performance next week. With 2 quads entered it will also be interesting to see how the second quad stack up, probably beating some 1st eights. After defeat to Surbiton it will be interesting to see how these girls have improved over the winter and where they now stack up.
Other notable clubs include Kingston, Marlow, Trentham and Bedford Girls School. All these clubs have hugely successful sculling programmes which will be passed down to the wj15 squads. Amongst the usury high performing clubs there are some smaller clubs also fighting for victory trying to make a legacy. I hope that we will be surprised by the results of racing and an underdog may be able to claim the victory!
My overall predictions would be top 3 clubs being Surbiton, Henley and fighting for third between Marlow, Molesey and Kingston.
