The End of the Island shortlisted for ‘Best Olympics and Paralympics Podcast 2024’

JRN are delighted to announce that The End of the Island – our flagship podcast – has been nominated for ‘Best Olympics and Paralympics Podcast’ at the Sports Podcast Awards. Brought to you by the company behind the world-leading Sport Industry Awards and Beyond Sport Global Awards, the Sports Podcast Awards is a brand-new annual celebration of the very best that the global sports audio community has to offer – rewarding the best podcasters in the space, uniting the industry under one umbrella and boosting discoverability for podcasters and listeners.

While The End of The Island has been running for four and half years and publishing over 200 episodes, Paris 2024 was the first opportunity to run a special series all about the Olympics and Paralympics. Our nine episodes across the games covered every stroke of the Olympic and Paralympic rowing from preview shows to cutting edge racing analysis featuring Olympic and Paralympic Champions. Hosted by the usual voices from The End of The Island, Fergus Mainland, Tom Morgan and Ed Evans, guests included people on the ground in Paris such as New Zealand Olympic Champions Grace Prendergast and Sam Bosworth, British Olympic medallists Zoe de Toledo, Jess Eddie and Jack Beaumont as well as Rowing Australia’s CEO Sarah Cook and Paralympic Champion Naomi Riches.

JRN also took The End of the Island to the USA for the first time, covering the Head of the Charles via video wrap-ups.
