Junior Rowing News are looking for a social media executive to come on-board and help us run our social media channels. We’re looking to expand our current following and want to run this regatta season as a trial for the right individual, who would then join the team as a full member next season.
The role can be done in your spare time – after training, before school and at events- and will be guided by our head of content and director. You will have reasonable freedom over content that is posted, working towards targets and ideas that are focused around the content we re producing. We’re looking for somebody who loves rowing, is always in the thick of the action and understands the importance of social media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat) as a powerful marketing tool. You’ll also need to attend the majority of the top rowing events, either as a spectator or an athlete, to substantiate our presence.
We’re grown our social media following significantly in the past 12 months, but are looking to expand even further to match the growth of our digital platform. We have targets and, upon reaching these targets, there will be the chance to earn commission alongside the usual incentives of free kit and work experience opportunities.
