Over recent days and weeks, it has become clear that the impact of Covid-19 will be greater than was originally thought, which is why Junior Rowing News are today announcing the launch of a new section of our site: The Covid-19 Hub.
The Hub will fulfil several roles. Firstly, we will publish an update every Monday morning at 8:00 AM which will include the latest government guidance, British Rowing advice, and rowing news from around the globe. If you or your club has a story to share, contact our news desk on juniorrowingnews@gmail.com.
Secondly, we will publish regular articles on a range of rowing-related topics including isolated training, nutrition, and mental health. These will go live on our site frequently, but will not abide by a strict timetable.
We will also continue our opinion work, which will – for the time being – move inside the hub. We hope to speak to a range of guests to gain different perspectives on the current situation. If you or someone you know has something to add, drop us a line.
The hub is ambitious, and will take a big effort from across our team, but ambition and drive is in our nature. We want to use our platform to promote a different kind of journalism that centres around honesty and integrity.
If you have something you would like to share, do get in touch. We want to foster a healthy community over the next few months, and to do that, we need your help.
Want to learn more? Come to the Hub
Keep up to date with the latest from JRN on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
