Write for Junior Rowing News 2018/19

Another year passes and records continue to be smashed at Junior Rowing News. This was our most successful year to date, with a huge quantity of coverage across events from Durham Regatta to the National Schools’. In a season when the junior rowing world was under the spotlight due to the performances of a number of sensational crews, JRN rose with them to provide our most comprehensive, detailed set of previews ever.

A special thanks to all our partners, who have helped the website grow and develop to become the world-leading written resource on junior rowing. A huge thanks to our team of dedicated, knowledgeable writers, who provide superb analysis week-on-week.

We’re now turning our attention to next season, where the fresh promise of rivalries, racing and victory under the blue skies of Henley lie in wait. We’re looking for people who know the junior rowing circuit, who have a sound understanding of the rudiments of written content and want the opportunity to develop as a writer and analyst. Our writers get the opportunity to work with top-level brands – including Mizuno, Croker and RP3 Rowing – and work at some of the world’s biggest rowing events. We had people involved at The Boat Race and Henley Royal Regatta this year, and several got involved with commentary at the National Schools’ Regatta and Henley Women’s Regatta.

Does this sound like a good opportunity?

If so, please send a brief covering letter and CV to juniorrowingnews@gmail.com.

Articles will be assigned monthly and will be tailored to each writer i.e. our editors understand that everyone has other commitments and so you can write as frequently as you choose. The more articles you are willing to write, the more you will gain from this experience.

The deadline for applications is Monday 16th July at 6pm.
