Write for Junior Rowing News 2019/2020

After another huge year for Junior Rowing News, we wanted to reflect on the collective achievements of the platform. We’ve had another record-breaking season, in terms of view count and coverage span, and as a team we’ve been across more events than ever before.

As a well-established platform on the rowing circuit, Junior Rowing News continues to offer incredible opportunities to the team beyond the standard remit of producing articles for thousands of people across the world. This year, our writers and editors commentated at some of the biggest rowing events in the country, led press teams for The Boat Race and Henley Royal Regatta, assisted in the research production for BT Sport and Sunset & Vine, produced content of the highest quality at premier events and received promotional kit from Mizuno, our resident clothing partner.

A special thanks to all our partners, who have helped the website grow and develop to become the world-leading written resource on junior rowing. An additional huge thanks to our team of dedicated, knowledgeable writers, who provide superb analysis week-on-week.

We’re now turning our attention to next season, where a whole new narrative unfolds. We’re looking for people who know the junior rowing circuit, who have a sound understanding of the rudiments of written content and want the opportunity to develop as a writer and analyst. We’re expanding our content and have links with the country’s top events and athletes.

Does this sound like a good opportunity?

If so, please send a brief registration of interest including your current club/school and preferred category coverage to juniorrowingnews@gmail.com.

Articles will be assigned monthly and will be tailored to each writer i.e. our editors understand that everyone has other commitments and so you can write as frequently as you choose. The more articles you are willing to write, the more you will gain from this experience.

The deadline for applications is 6pm Monday 29th July 2019.
